Ingredients for 4 Portions:
2 plantains
1 tbsp. oil
¼ tsp. paprika powder
¼ tsp. ground black pepper
½ tsp. onion powder
a pinch of cumin
Procedure:
Preheat the oven at 200 degree Celsius. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and put on a thin layer of oil.
Peel the plantains by making a shallow cut on the ridge and remove the peel. This might be difficult depending on the ripeness of the plantains.
Then start slicing the plantain diagonally in thin similar sized (roughly 5-3 mm thick) slices.
Toss the oil with the spices and the plantain in a bowl and then lay them out evenly on the parchment paper and then put them in the oven.
Bake until the plantain is crispy and golden brown. The baking time depends on the ripeness of the plantains and the thickness of the slices. It should take around 15 min. make sure to flip them half way through
