Seasons: all
Cooking Time: 30 min
Resting Time: 4 hours
Portions: 6
Ingredients:
4 eggs
160 g sugar
2 tbsp. warm water
500 g mascarpone
300 ml coffee
200 g sponge fingers
3 tbsp. cocoa powder
Procedure:
Start with separating the egg whites from the egg yolks.
Then mix the egg yolks, sugar and water until it's thoroughly mixed.
Add the mascarpone to the mixture.
Whip the egg whites until you get stiff peaks.
Carefully add the egg white to the egg yolk mass and mix them together.
Pour the coffee into a soup plate.
For the first layer of the tiramisu, lay the sponge fingers into the coffee and immediately put them into your dish of choice (e.g. glass oven dish). Mind that the sponge fingers will get soft very quickly. Therefore a short bath in the coffee is more than sufficient.
Add half of the mascarpone mixture into the dish covering the coffee-soaked sponge fingers.
Again, put another layer of coffee-soaked sponge fingers on top of the mascarpone. Cover all of the surface with yummy sponge fingers.
Now add the rest of the mascarpone mass and put the Tiramisu into the fridge for at least 4 hours .
