This delicious dessert coming directly from Japan will go perfectly with some tea or jam. You only need 5 ingredients for this super easy, exotic, vegan and gluten free recipe!

Ingredients for 2 Portions:
125 g of sticky rice flour
50 g of sugar
1 tsp of matcha powder
1 drop of red edible colouring
100 ml of hot water
Procedure:
Mix flour, sugar and hot water. (Start with a spatula and switch to your hand after the dough becomes firm).
Divide the dough in 3 equal parts, one for each color.
Form the white mochi first by forming balls of the same size.
Add the colouring/ matcha powder to the other two doughs and mix until both doughs are green or red.
Form the colored mochi by making balls of the same size.
Boil some water and then gently immerse the mochi.
After 3 to 5 minutes, the mochi will rise to the surface by themselves.
Take out the mochi and plunge them in ice water to stop the internal cooking process.
Stick the mochi on bamboo skewers.
Serve and enjoy.
