Invisible Apple Cake

Ingredients (10 Servings):

  • 125g Flour

  • 1tsp Baking Powder

  • 1/4tsp Fresh Ginger

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 30g Melted Butter

  • 120ml Milk

  • 8g Vanilla Sugar

  • 3 Eggs

  • 80g Granulated Sugar

  • 900g Apples


Method:

  • Preheat your oven to 190ºC.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.

  • In a seperate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and vanilla sugar.

  • In another bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and fresh ginger with an electric mixer until the mixture turns pale and frothy.

  • Combine all three mixtures.

  • Peel the apples and cut them in to thin slices. (Tip: A mandoline slicer works best)

  • Add the sliced apples to the batter.

  • Grease a loaf pan and pour in the mixture

  • Bake for about 65 minutes. The top should look golden brown

  • Let the cake cool down, as it will fall apart if cut warm.
