Chocolate Mousse

January is a busy season for us students. You remember when you last enjoyed yourself? Probably at some point on the December 31 - LAST YEAR. Give yourself a quick break, a thorough shake and take 15 min to make this rewarding chocolate mousse. Btw share it with your flat mates cause "Sharing is Caring" as we usually say in St. Gallen ;)

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Overall cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients for 5 people

  • 500 g farmer's cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ + ⅓ cup all purpose flour , divided

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Optional: ½ cup raisins

Preparation

  1. Melt the chocolate broken into small pieces in a double boiler or over low heat. When completely melted, stir gently to make a smooth paste. Remove from the heat and let it cool down.

  2. Break the eggs, separating the yolks from the whites. Add the salt to the whites and beat them until stiff.

  3. Gradually pour the melted chocolate over the egg yolks, mixing vigorously.

  4. Incorporate delicately with a spatula 1/3 of the beaten egg whites then add the rest gradually by lifting the preparation from bottom to top to distribute the chocolate evenly without dropping the whites. Divide among 6 verrines.

  5. Take the chocolate mousse for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator. Serve well chilled.
